Between 2007 and 2008, a comic adaptation of Castlevania: Lament of Innocence was released by Konami. It was exclusively available to be read for a monthly fee through “Weekly Konami”, a mobile-only comics service. The service was shut down on March 31, 2012, and the comic was lost with its termination.
The comic was released in two seasons, each 21 episodes long. The plot seemed to mostly follow that of the original game, though it had some changes, such as the introduction of a few new characters, some story beats getting reshuffled, and extra scenes and flashbacks were added that further fleshed out the characters. It was only available to read in Japanese.
